Adobe After Effects CS3

so i installed it and stuff... but every time i open the program my PC restarts ive reinstalled my OS but the problem still .. any ideas?

don't think so cause its on his original DVD ;D .. last time i used it was a couple months ago

well i do have a cracked version that i downloaded to check the program b4 getting the original .. but it keeps rebooting

boot your pc, after bios screen press F8 and deactivate the "auto restart" feature. thus makin it possible to see why your os is restarting. most probably a bsod ..

report after you've done that!!

wow.. never seen a bsod with portcls.sys ..

well google for: aftereffects cs3 portcls.sys bluescreen


if that doesnt bring anyting, then leave aftereffects cs3 away ..

i dont know what this portcls.sys file is for atm..

portcls.sys is realted with soundcard drivers im using an onboard Realtek HD Audio card.. im gonna try something and see if it works..

go to event viewer and check what error causes a restart

Ok disable auto restart so it gives you the blue screen of death instead. http://pcsupport.about.com/od/tipstricks/ht/disautorestart.htm

Open After Effects then write down the error codes and use google to search for them. It's probably software related. My first guess would be to a codec conflict.

i disabled my on board audio card and then ran AAE again and it worked :>..

i got this also:

The currently installed sound card driver does not support Direct Sound Input. Recording audio is not possible.

so i´m gonna update my sound card drivers ;D . problem solved i guess

np mate .. without my advice about disabling automatic restart you'd be still fucked!

that makes 5weeks of idling in #kuraigu !!!
