Video mode not supported

When I'm trying to set my resolution to 1280x720 ingame my screen goes black and red pop up says ''Video mode not supported''. Same happens when I'm trying to change the resolution from nvidia controlpanel or from my screen properties.

Obviously I have fucked something up because it worked fine before. My normal display resolution is 1280x1024.

Answers appreciated.

lol, just set your resolution to 1280*1024 omg.. maybe your videocard or monitor is not supported with that resolution you are trying now.

you can record at 1028x1024 and later render it as 720p

Can this have anything to do with the changes I did to my 3D setting in Nvidia control panel in order to get good quality for my clips.

Doubtful. It's the monitor that "doesn't support the video mode", and and the resolution/refresh rate shouldn't be affected by AA/AF.
Are you sure it worked before with the same gfx card, monitor and driver version?

Anyway, either record in windowed mode or record in some other resolution and cut off the top/bottom in post processing (or using image.exe) so that you can resize without distorting the aspect rate. (You may need to adjust the HUD and gun position.)
