Advices on a few PC upgrades.

I was thinking if changing ram to some top one would improve perfomance in games?

If you know answer to that could you state it in % for example 10% more performance in FPS .

next thought :

I was thinking ,if I managed to sell me previous graphic card (EVGA 8600gts,512mb)
together with AMD x2 6000 3ghz ,2gb ram CRUCIAL (dual) cooler for CPU and
of course good mobo from ASUS (SLI,no noise, allows me to put PHENOM quad core)
for 120 pounds (almost complete PC ,runs even crysis, anyone interested from UK?)
I would go for fastest CPU form intel ,dual core ofc, that would be e8600.
How big performance boost would I get ? is it worth it ? or should I stick with my current rig ?

btw i really would sell that bits for 120 quid :) and I reckon it's worth more than that !

I KNOW IT'S A BORING SUBJECT BUT THERE

ARE PEOPLE HERE ON XFIRE WHO's

ADVICES ARE BRILLIANT AND

ACCURATE,CHEERS FOR THEM

i want to buy a laptop gimme advice!!
random 2x2gb 800 cl4 / don't buy e8600, take e8400 but I wouldn't change to it from the AMD x2 6000
does that memory work with AMD mobos ? and how big performance boot would it give?

well you can check what kind of ram your motherboard can take, and yes it works with AMD / the performenc I don't know, should be noticeable ;)

buy quadcore
bitches dont know about my q6600
Don't want to enter the cpu debate cause it won't end, but for ram, just get 800mhz cl4, all good companies will do the job, OCZ, g.skill, corssair, twinmos etc etc...
I have g.skill PI black edition and it does the job!
takes E8500, after you Overclock at 20% and you will have the same performances that E8600 ;)
