some photoshop thingy

want to make this:

i had a friend do it once but i accidentally erased the big version in a format... neither me nor him remember how he did it... if anyone can do this or something close to it please help me out :)

i want to make the big one look like the small one cuz i lost the original edit in the original size(the resized one is an avatar i had to shrink down once...)

first one is a bit to much imo but it could look nice if you tune it down a bit... second as you say isn't exactly that...

i won't give to many comments cuz i can't do such things myself... but i really know what i like and how i want it to look :p
