Else:
our financial year is 1july=>31june
but it depends. sometimes we have to pay :o
We have to have a fucking license to have a TV :@, we have to pay something called road tax and this is for fixing the roads and car parks. It's £40 to park for a day and the roads are shit as hell, you get clamped if you park anywhere else. WTF is this about?
Government is shit, who the fuck needs a license to use a TV? You also get a fine if you don't have one, they scan areas all the time for TV's unlicensed.
The UK is officially shit, they scam money out of everyone!
We have tv-licence too, though I don´t pay it. Got busted once by inspector, had to pay about 100€ extra + licence.
They call it Freeview but it ain't free at all, even the Internet TV has been classed as a signal, they are now making you pay for a license.
I only watch programmes on the BBC iPLAYER which is fine, and you don't need a TV license for this. The only 'live TV' I watch is football streamed through Sopcast or TV Ants. The law is very specific and frankly weird. I don't have to pay a license if the equipment I use runs on internal batteries. So, when I watch the football I unplug my laptop from the mains and since I don't receive the signal through an aerial I'm 'covered'.
E: The TV license is exceptionally good value for money to be honest. If you use OfComs figures for how much TV we watch per day, and then pay the BBC minimum wage for every hour you'd fine the TV license wouldn't even last one week. It's very good value for money - trust me.

Didn't do my math so well last year :D
