Wolfenstein ET problem

Just bought a new pc with vista on it, and trying to play ET with the same config.
but somehow, im missing the left cm of my screen..

ET is not fullscreen anyway, i use 22 inch widescreen and i always have a black bar on each side of the screen, but thats no problem.

example of the part im missing:

when i open my console and write /screenshotjpeg I can only read eenshotjpeg..

hope someone knows what to do

btw. i always played with the same screen on windows xp, and there was no problem
