Though for most of the reasons to not go to army you can get free ticket out of both services. Like health issues for example. But if you're hippie then civl service is for you.

Well I didn't say that you could learn something there, but it depends where you spend your army time.
And I'm not that traditional about army/non-miltary service. But I gladly go to army.

Well if you go to be pioneer you can get something out of it. But if you are e.g in the air defense you really can't get anything usefull to normal life.
In my case I wan't to be military police, after military you get points to police academy or get usefull stuff to securitywork.

i remember the time, when i sayd to my officer, i dont need to learn how to use weapons and i never will use it coz of my religion. he only sayd, np 4 u, do this simply while u a here... u dont need to use it in the future....

All the CC teams will fold right after (maybe not vae), so yes ET will be dead until the next CC anouncement. (If teams reform for it, which depends on the success of the CC5 i guess)

From a competitive player's point of view there should be enough reason for keep on playing actively as there is CC5 to come in two weeks, then there's most probably in early 2009 that Polish LAN by F2K and in April we have the next big event by TosspoT with games like CS:S, CoD and ET together with the help of Heaven Media. Besides that, there is also the next EC and maybe another ESL Major Series.
