vent + vista

ive got this real annoying problem with vent.

basically i got a new laptop today and installed everything etc etc, and on vent i cant stop lagging when ppl start talking, and it just cuts, waits 20 years and then i hear what they said a century after. same when i talk. its not the internet as this problem only occurs with this laptop as i tried other pcs. im fine with browsing even playing ET and everything BUT ventrilo.

I have the latest drivers of everything, its just some connection between vista and ventrilo for sure. any idea if there is some fix or so?

I don't got it selected and I don't have lag when using it , it's something else
