External Harddrive...

Basically I'm in need of a new hdd but I don't feel like buying one, for which I have to open my pc and plug it in before I'm able to use it. Therefore I feel like buying an external one, due to the fact that it must be mobile.

Now I've no clue, which one to buy because there is a width variety of brands/sizes 2.5"-3.5"/capacity/with or without power cord etc...

Any recommendations?
Personal experience might help me a lot, at least I hope so...
Thanks in advance..

dunno but 1st muahhha :XD
well without power cord is much more simple so you dont need any extra wires to use it just plug and play :d

buffalo ministations are nice and small, capacity is 160/320 gb if i remember right and it doesnt need power cord
Are they fragile?
Went to a store, saw some drives and when I saw some HDD's (not the one you mentioned though but...) I thought that I'd immediately break a few.

if u r going to drop a hdd on the floor then there isn't a hdd designed for u, sorry! any hdd if it has a bigger hit, has a really big chance that it won't work properly/not at all anymore

you make it sound like connecting an internal hdd is hard work or something
yh well I'll probably suffocate because of all the dust, which probably can be found in my case :D

I've got 2 freecom ext drives here, you need a power source for them as they're not powered by the usb :{
