The Call of Duty 5 project initially had potential - but a sequence of problems caused by Treyarch such as the appalling BETA and stock game, useless patches for the competitive gameplays needs, the announcement of Call of Duty MW2 by Activision, etc.

The game as it stands, I believe, would have had hope - and isnt bad to play fully modded (I do believe fully modded it is better than CoD4 - but im not a big fan of CoD4 any more :p) - its not going to be a competitive game even matching the scene of CoD2 though

Call of Duty 4 will live on for another year with someone keen flying the flag. I did have initial problems with the new flag flyer 'MavLP' - and don't agree with all his directions - but you can never have true perfection. What he has done to the game HAS saved it. He has done a ton of good work - so much so that I had believed he had taken my original Promod code when it was first released. And I do share his vision of how the game should end out - I was just reluctant to do those changes myself with CoD5 about to hit the scene (which it hasn't). Even though I won't be playing the game - my only suggestion to you Mav is to go along with the EU majority and remove muzzle flash again - as that is about all that is holding you back from full acceptance!

I would like to thank Neil 'Kboy' Kirk for all the time he has put aside for me, and I believe he will be a great representative for whoever he stands for in the future.

Also to Multiplay - who helped me with great servers and the tools I needed to do what I did.

Also to Jock Yitch - of Bash and Slash - for covering such a wide and diverse range of content, all with passion and enthusiasm - and I will continue listening in

Also to 'Kenzo' for making the website, people like Gizzor and many others for letting me test on them

[edit: On a side note I am not leaving modding in gaming altogether - as it will be my career at the end of the day. I will never again do a project for a community however - it will all be my original work with no expectations. I may have things still to come - but no more 'Promod' etc for now - unless I ever work for a competetant game developer ^^ - and for the next few months I am focusing purely on learning music production]

[second edit: I will release my partially done beta 2 code - with annotations for any community members who wish to create their own offshoots, etc]
