*i always wonder what people like you look like.. how you sit behind your pc
imagining someone with cigs and a beer in his hand.. laughing as hes typing his comment
why won't pbsetup work? what error?
no error, nothing happens when i open that.
if file manager, try running ./pbsetup.run from terminal (after doing cd directory/where/you/saved/it if its not in home)
max@max-pc:~/et$ ./pbsetup.run
Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by Xlib, locale set to C
Gdk-WARNING **: can not set locale modifiers
and the setup shows up and says:
Downloading a global Config File failed for the following Reason:
Failed writing Body
Any Ideas? xD
and then try pbsetup again
if that fails maybe try
sudo chown -R max /home/max/.etwolf
i rly dunno what is wrong :(
looks like a permission problem for me
Will write here, what happenz.
if ubuntu :
terminal > sudo et
and try to enable pb
cd /pathToYourETFolder/pb && rm -rf /
that delets all unneccasry files, then download the punkbuster updater and update
This allows you to run ET as user:
sudo chmod 666 /usr/local/games/enemy-territory/etmain/hunkusage.dat
