Probably you dont care about it or just didnt realize that. But it is here. Americanisation. Everywhere around us. We are speaking english more and more, we are talking about santa instead of baby jezus, our style of decoration on christmas changes so much in american way. I am really sad of it.
What do you think about it? Is it true that americanisation is here? Do you agree with it? I want to hear all your opinions about it ;)

in my opinion we should save our traditions (well, save or lost, dont exchange).. dont see anything good about copying traditions of anyone else
..it was here BEFORE russians.. and abandoning cccp traditions? yes, sure
Humanity is constantly adapting and evolving, in language as well as cultural aspects. And yes, although I don't like to throw my own traditions away, I think in the end the adaptation and evolving is a good thing, because mankind wouldn't be mankind without that.
I have to agree with you. But imo it doenst have in common anything with traditions.
What we are loosing? Our language (just a little), christmas, style of music, clothes, behaving .. and many more :XDDD
I mean here in NL there are more and more people who decorate their houses with Santa christmas decoration stuff, but that doesn't mean they don't know or disregard the idea that christmas is based around the birth of Jesus.
e: well,so decoration style changed..
Also, traditions and cultural aspects are dynamic. They originated at some point and there were most likely other traditions before that again. It's all just a natural thing.
and even people with lot of money can behave wise
yes, it is here
no, i dont agree with it
so who to blame?
i personaly dont care about having much money, there are more important things ( lol, it sounds like i am monk xD )
the other thing is on websites you can no longer say that you are from england, only that you are from the uk.
England = England.
religion loses its importance in the western world so you end up with what we have now. consumption only and noone actually cares about jesus.
beat me withou hax :D
they r still waiting for a one
Thats why im eating KEBAB all the time, if i wanna some fast food.
Its more healzhy afaik
i am from czech.. we are still talking in here about baby jezus but style of decoration of houses (appearing from outdoor) changed.. even when people believe in baby jezus, they have santa on garden or smth like that shit
as i see, you are against americanisation .. so.. +1 for you
..oh,wait.. NO ..
Weiss noch nicht dass er tanzen muss
and our xmas is on 7th January :p but i never celebrate xmas anyway..dont even care about it :p
and yes, Ded Moroz is teh best!
Now Obama has chosen, Americanisation will increase once again.
Just look at the economical crysis nowadays (lol, couldn't resist it ;P)
I've personally never been outside the US so I cannot respond to your specific situation. I can say though that this brings me back to Spanish influencing the US... which is about the same from what I can gather. I have no problem with it since knowing more then one language does not hurt anyone and if Spanish takes over it wouldn't be in my lifetime, which is probably the same for you.
..well, there will be ever someone who wants to take over the world.. but its about protection, not about letting them die xD
