yeah as you can see this debate's been had and i agree with you,

et should be about strategy + aim not eyesight,

also i believe it'd make configs more even, as everybody'd be able to spot enemies instead of some configs being better than others in different situations.

but anyway, i doubt it'll ever happen. just like they should remove m_pitch limits so people who can't adjust them in the mouse driver software aren't disadvantaged

well why did rahul make a poll about allowing something which could never (reasonably) be allowed?

so it's limited by etpro? i thought it was only punkbuster which limited variables?

it's a "cheat" cvar, only way to get around it was to force it to a value using forcecvar, but that means everyone had to use it or nobody had to use it

the early versions of the config had it forced to 3 but it was removed after heavy (expected) complaints

It also created some "bugs" i remember MT vs TR match, we loaded the xfire nc 08 config by mistake and the players were bright, but the truck & flag were pink lol.

because there is no easy way to allow it (without forcing) and this can't be changed without an etpro update

i´m against ambientscale.. there are so nice positions to rape enemys and 99% of them will be lost.. also all the fucking ownage prone positions i use so much <3

just get a decent config and you will see the enemy good enough

actually i need.. cause no lagscript is as good as a polish/finnish or what ever laggy player.
But tbh i dunnow if it even works anymore with the new cb config.. haven´t used it for ages :(
