G5 v2 no real 1000hz ???

i've not read about it in ages, but i don't think it'll stay on 1000hz no matter what you do.

and anyway doesn't having a hz that high fuck your mouse up?

edit: again somebody correct me if i'm wrong, but hz are more of a maximum than a forced level. e.g., you have to move your mouse very fast to get it to use even 250hz constantly, try it in mouserate, if you move it slow you get some low hz. now having your hz at 500 means you CAN use 500 if you move your mouse that fast, but if you never got it above 250 anyway, it makes no difference if your hz is 500 or 5000.

now, the reason some mice are marketed as being able to use 1000hz is that they can, in some situations use 1000, where as other mice break at such high hz. generally you don't need it above 500 and that's pushing it.

for what do you need 1000mhz? 400 is the best for ET etc.
