It's great! There's nothing like shooting out an entire clip with crosshair over the player model while my bullet holes trace an outline of my opponent on the wall behind him.
yeh its a good game, competitive paly is great, public is pretty retarded imo.
u dont really need a good gfx card, as you can tweak the graphics quite a lot.
i'm not playing any online games anymore... dont really have the time anymore.

You don't need much skill to be "skilled" on public , most of the players there are pretty low . Can't say something about the competitive side of CSS .
yeh ive read it again and my conclusion is that you have never been on a decent public server, you cant generalise that statement and say all people on public servers are shit.
There are some really skilled servers just like in any other game.
its great, even thought u dont feel like playing any official map, theres alot more stuff to do, Warcraft css, rpg css, surfing css, gungame css, footbal css. its really worth buying! i had great times playin it with mates :>
lol not a patch at all, CSS is Counter-Strike using the Source engine. To be honest, Counter-Strike: Source is a misnomer; if Call of Duty had all the weapons of 1.6 and the maps, CSS would be more correctly named Call of Duty: Source than Counter-Strike: Source
Play 1.6 unless you enjoy playing games that don't require skill. Don't get me wrong, the first time I played CSS, it was rather fun, but if you plan on playing a game for longer than a week, then don't buy it.

umm, not really sure, I doubt electronics stores still sell it but you can try looking if you want ^^ Most people buy 1.6 off steam because it's easier I guess
