rtcw patching

my friend has problems installing the 1.4 patch to the rtcw downloaded here.
OK THE REAL ERROR: Setup could not locate a version of Return to Castle Wolfenstein on your system
He gets it after picking the language.

SOZ; didn't check what i was typing, it was all thanks to these dota addicts

if you downloaded my wolfpack you didnt install rtcw so there are no registry entries.

extract the patch and replace dlls and executables manually
