monitor help! fixed

Booted up meh pc to do some schewlwork, and monitor is 60hz now?!

What can I do, I can change the settings to 85hz in everything but it doesn't apply?
*monitor have a black border at the top and properties shows many resolutions even those that aint avi(it wasnt like this before).

Radeon X1600 Series
ATI CATALYST control center version 1.2.2516.38896
windóws xp HE SP3
Old MultiSync FE700+ crt monitor

cata says .NET framework 1.1.4~ish

What could have fucked up? drivers? BIOS? monitor detection?

***Problem solved, what I did was: Update gfx drivers again, updated my BIOS, cleaned out the dust, replugged and fixed all the cables(especialy the vga/dvi module apparatus)***

duno what caused it but try a prog called Refreshlock. It can override frequencies..

I don't think that will do any good to your screen.. and prolly there is some limit that your screen can't go over..

well, I didn't mean overriding frequencies that your monitor shouldn't be able to do... I use it for games that don't let me run 120Hz even if my monitor can easily run the same settings on windows without it

Tried it now, didn't help, tried to update cata, didn't help either.

Hi man, I've got a laptop in here from wich the detected save frequencies is 60 Hz (that's what that program says :)) .. you think if I change it to 76 that I'll break my laptop :D ?

I also have an old CRT in here.. It's around 7years old :p should it be able to run games at 125Hz? (it's one from Packard Bell)
