Rise of nations is simply nice <3

and the thing i liked the most, is that soldier of every country is different.. in AoE chinese swordsman is the same like english, now they are different for all countries ;) its nice and + battles more epic, you recruit soldier, and they are three :) it ownz
ET + no upload/download no cfos: 48 ms
ET + without upload/download + cfos : 48 ms
ET + full upload&download no cfos: 400-999 ms xD
ET + full upload&download + cfos: 48, sometimes it jumps to 60-80
Haha nice boasting! No programm will make you ping 48, when youre using the full capacity of your connection, especially when youre uploading, since your upload speed mostly influences your ping. Furthermore you shouldn't have ping problems at all, having a 16mbit connection. I've tried the program several times before and it does make a diffrence, but not as you described it.(Considering that I got a 1mbit connection, still I don't think it matters that much) As a sidenote: Unless you don't have an old Router, it should be able to do 'Trafic Shaping', since thats nothing special anymore, just take a look in the setup using your browser. :)
Rubbish.
With proper traffic shaping you can do wonders with your ping, ESPECIALLY while uploading.
ISP's normally have large queues on their end to ensure high stable bandwidth, while latency is not given that much thought. By limiting your upload speed to just under the bandwidth you're supposed to have, and the same for download, you move the "control" of the queue to yourself instead of the ISP.
So, if you set up proper shaping then (priority to TCP ACK-packets, and anything that doesn't use much bandwidth but requires low latency (e.g. games)), your gaming ping while uploading/downloading will get a lot better. Then everything gaming-related is sent first, and any upload/download-related stuff is put behind. Since the game doesn't use the whole bandwidth, the upload/download stuff can go almost just as fast as it would anyways (of course, subtract the bandwidth the game uses).
As for download speed there isn't a whole lot you can do. It's logical, you can control what you send but not what you recieve. But since TCP is a slow-start protocol and you probably give higher priority to the gaming ACK-s, you get a kind of control anyways, although not as detailed as the upload control.
And, having a 16 mbit connection has nothing to do with latency at all.
I guess this is what that program does, and it works.
Well I've used the programm for like half a year and I think I set it up properly (Priority etc.) - still my ping was ~ 400-500 when I was downloading so it doesnt really make a diffrence at all since 999 and 400 Ping are both equally shit :D. Eigher you're talking bullshit or I'm just to dumb for setting it up properly. I still can't belive that you're lowpinging when you're using full capacity of your connection, sorry.

Gives you a low ping even if you're downloading/uploading :DDDD
