what does it mean 'really really'? :-) Its simply a question of how often will he be taking his laptop out. Because if it stays at home, then there is no point in saving weight and size.

i'm sorry but wat i said... it has nice spec's you still can check the site and just click on "meer" wat is called more in dutch and there you can see all his spec's if i where you i would search for this laptop.

Cause it has good specs and a good looking design and its a 16 inch and not a kinda huge ass 17 inch.

And anyways 16 inch and 17 inch isn't that much of a difference but i like the samsung more then the Acer;)!

About the size, depends on how much you valor every inch :P
And I'm not a fan of Acer, too.

Indeed, what do you want to do with it?

I have 17" too, just lower specs (T8100, GF8600M GS and 3GB RAM) and I use my Dell as substitution for desktop PC but sometimes I take it somewhere with me. Weight is not a problem for me. You just need to remember that you need a bigger case for it.
I watch films on it, so 17" is fantastic, its better than 17" in 4:3.

So ask yourself, what do you need your Acer for? And, hmm.. Acer :) Is it at least cheap? :)
