Samsung HT-A100 Home Theater System

http://www.samsung.com/nl/consumer/detail/detail.do?group=mp3audiovideo&type=hometheater&subtype=hometheatersystems&model_cd=HT-A100CT/XEF

It's some kind of BOSE imitation, by brother has it and sounds great! at 30% his windows begin to shake
stereo sound still much better if u care about music quality (not cinema experience). I would get an amplifier and a real pair of speakers, you could get really nice ones for that price.
Amazon.
Slightly more powerful than the logitech, however i've read that the amp can be dodgy and sometimes blows, and if your warranty expired your fucked because creative dont replace the single amp/sub but the whole system :<

Also looked into the z-5500, seems less problematic amp-wise anyway but have read that its has bollocks shielding on the sub and has to be kept away from other electrical stuff.
get a set of good speakers and a subwoofer then add more speakers when you can affort it. Maybe two b&w speakers and a subwoofer will need a amplifier for this tho:)
you can get the Z5500 for a fair little bit under £200, which for that price makes them the best choice for their range. If you're looking more at £300-£500 I'm assuming you have a reason to be looking in this range in the first place?
because i have too much money and i'm trying to spend it :*(

i've found the z5500's for £211.65 from dell, and even cheaper from dabs.com, although dabs doesn't get many good reviews.

z5500 it is then, just wanted to see what else was available

Don't get Logitech. Unless you are looking for speakers that last 3 months. I just got the Sony DAV-DZ260 last week and I can tell you this system is a beast! Great sound quality, built in DVD player that upscales to 1080p and Optical inputs so you can connect your ps3 to get the best quality possible (full 5.1 audio). Best of all it's only £117 from amazon.co.uk. They are out of stock now, so the next lowest is £142 but you can get them in Currys/Dixons/Comet for £130. Check out the reviews. Oh and it's 850W

The speakers are also the same size as the Logitech system.

Not particularly fond of logitech myself but I can't say I agree with that at all. Friend of mine had his set a good couple of years now and it's still in fine condition from what I can tell.

Well from what I have heard they are unreliable. Just depends on whether you are lucky or not.
