looking for decent speakers for pc/ ipod/ tv/ ps3 for around £300, although i can go up to £500 for something special.
i remember reading http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/speakers_audio/home_pc_speakers/devices/224&cl=gb,en were good for their price.

It's some kind of BOSE imitation, by brother has it and sounds great! at 30% his windows begin to shake
Slightly more powerful than the logitech, however i've read that the amp can be dodgy and sometimes blows, and if your warranty expired your fucked because creative dont replace the single amp/sub but the whole system :<
Also looked into the z-5500, seems less problematic amp-wise anyway but have read that its has bollocks shielding on the sub and has to be kept away from other electrical stuff.
i've found the z5500's for £211.65 from dell, and even cheaper from dabs.com, although dabs doesn't get many good reviews.
z5500 it is then, just wanted to see what else was available

using the z5500 on the mediacenter for over 1,5years now w/o a problem
dads pc using a decent set by logitech for over 2years..
ill just stick to my altec lansing though : >
