How i fixed Punkbuster heartbeats

Hello!

Well i had problems with punkbusterb.exe.. Heartbeat stopping and stuff like that.

So i tried
  • Update PB
  • Reinstall PB
  • Using PB commands: pb_sleep 500, pb_system 0, pb_security 0 (Thanks AnonymousLoekino for this, didnt help :< )


It all failed, and i got kicked every time.

So then i reinstalled ET and that fixed it.

It worked for me, hope it does for you!! GL

BTW, Netherlands Woody = gay!

delete whole pbfolder > run pbsetup.exe? otherwise just spam the hell out of evenbalance.com

1. check your antyvirus/firewall (maybe something block pnkbstrB service)
2. make sure that as pnkbstrB is enabled on system sevices (start>run>type: services.msc) and find pnkbstrA & pnkbstrB (in pnkbstrA/B properties you should have selected status to Automatic + service status set as running.
more about services you can find @ google.

if everything is ok then in enemy territory console you should be able to see this >
PunkBuster Client: PB Services socket initialized
PunkBuster Client: PnkBstrA successfully loaded PnkBstrB
PunkBuster Client: PnkBstrB service installed and started successfully

change this setting from 0 to 1 -> pb_system 1
