Just a quick question, I've been using the iiYama HM903DT A Vision Master Pro 454 19" monitor since 2003 and it still working great but for some reason I can't get more then 85Hz, never could.. I dont even know if it's possible.. so my question is:
Is it possible to get more then 85Hz with this monitor? if yes, how?
btw, I'm using 1024x1280 and I dont really want to change that to a lower res, on this link it says that I can use 122Hz at this res but when I change it to something that is over 85Hz it just shows black screen for like 10 seconds and then its back to 85Hz..
FIXED THANKS TO h8m3, NOW I CAN USE UP TO 200HZ WITH 800X600!

Vertical frequency 50 - 200 Hz
lulul, you got worked on (lol)

mind = blown
anyway, 1280x1024 is NOT a crt resolution... that will look retarded, try 1280x960@whatever, even my Dell trinitron can handle 1280x960@120
But Meez is right!
and so is Meez
1280x1024 is 5:4
1280x960 is 4:3
make your own fucking conclusion
Fail.
if u give more pixels in width the refreshrate will drop because u give a higher resolution..
more lines in width means more work for the monitor, means less refreshrate..
or do I have to draw it out for you.
If u use 1280 x 960 u will most prolly be able to use more Hz
I have a 17 inch which did 150 Hz @ 800x600
it is heavy as fuck.... now I got a 24 inch HD samsung syncmaster...
I gotta say the CRT was much smoother.
but I love the free space on my desk now
(LCD and CRT refreshrates are a totally diffrent thing)
same vertical & horizontal sens, perfectly circle xhair, not fat nor thin enemies etc.
http://www.crossfire.nu/?x=tutorial&mode=item&id=69 or just look for an .inf driver for your monitor in the web
try 1280x960@120hz or 1024x768@120hz and you will feel the amazing smoothness ;P
1024x768 on widescreen ftw!
I remember like 2 years ago, I used r_mode 7 for like a week, the heads looked like mongols and biggers, was alot easier to do HS but I changed it back cause it looks retarted ;d
IN FUCKING DEED
i used 1280x1024 for a few months a few years back until i realised what i was doing wrong, and yes x960 looked weird but it is the CORRECT aspect ratio
only shitty lcd faggotry has 5:4 aspect ratios
nn
download nokia monitor test, enter the convergence menu ( red green and blue crosses) and adjust convergence so they match together like perfect lines
left bottom button there, then click your mouse until there're crosses
His problem is that it's a HM903DT A model instead of a HM903DT B. The A model's can not handle the high frequency rates.
anyways, it never did more then 100hz in rmode6, though the monitor specs showed it should do up to 133hz in that resolution. Using some tools like refreshforce got it fixed eventually but the quality of the displayed image wasn't that good.
