mouse settings help

Just keep the default - all you should know.

old mice had negative accel meaning the crosshair moved slower when you moved the mouse really fast. the 2-2-5 thing was a trick to get mx500 work somewhat normally at low sens.

When using 0-0-0 the speed the cursor moves linear/relative to the movement on the mousepad.

If you start changing threshold1 above 0 the cursor will travel twice as far when moving the mouse above a certain speed. Threshold2 does the same thing, just a second speedlimit at which the crosshair will not double but quadruple its movement. The mousespeed decides how much faster the mouse will move when reaching threshold1 or threshold2 movement speed. Its kinda like a car engine.

Anyways, as butchji said: its outdated. Any normal person will adapt way faster to 0-0-0-10 as the mouse will be doing the same movements as your hand. Or you might have been playing plug and play for ages and you gotten used to 1-6-10-10 (default windows settings) in which case you prolly want to stick. Using 0-0-0 will feel like your xhair is drifting, feels a lot more stable over here. if you are using accelfix you can ignore all this bs as it removes all those accel features.
