If I download a windows theme for example this one:
http://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=6725&libid=1

where should I put it to get it working?

You need a patcher 1st, something like this http://www.belchfire.net/index.php?showtopic=8767. Extract it and execute, hit patch wait for bla bla reboot. Then look up the theme you want for Windows. Download it and extract the FOLDER not the files, to C:/Windows/Resources/Themes. When you see the folder there, go to your desktop, right click, properties, appearance and change the Windows and buttons options. There should be your theme.
