Nice start for 2009 ...
Yesterday when I went to teh supermarket and wanted to pay with my EC-Card I found out I cant, while imo there was enough money on my account :o !
Later, at home I found out my bank transfered rent TWICE to renters account, so I called him and asked if he can gief back, coz my bank cant bring the moneys back, and he said: well ye, at end of month, np! He suggested to mark my rent paid for february already. Sure, nice idea ...

There's probably some consumer organization you can report them to if they refuse.
If they incorrectly transfered the money then the least they should do is loan you the same amount of money without interest for one month. Ask for the person's boss if he/she keeps telling you BS.
There's no way I'd let my bank take my money without repercussions.
The way it works is like this. An organisation can get a permit to request money out of bank accounts. In this permit they agree that they will only request money from accounts for which they have permission to do so. There is however nothing registered with the bank itself that says "yes or no" when the organisation with the permit requests money. The bank simply trusts that it's ok because the organisation has a permit for it.
What went wrong is that the organisation itself has requested it either twice or in double-ammount from the bank and the bank gives it. However, the bank should book it back if the client requests it within x days of the transfer. (usually around 5 workdays)
The only time when a bank can not retrieve the money back from an account is when you yourself transfered it manually.
So yes, change banks and file a complaint.
(btw, this is how it works in holland but I asume german banks do not work much different)
Good morning btw
And you?
