So the usual avenues have been exhausted, ‘n since it was you guys that recommended the service…!

I’m having trouble getting my broadband working. Apparently the modem / line everything on their side works fine, & have been told it’s probably a problem with my drivers.

The modem uses an Ethernet cable to connect to the pc, which the pc doesn’t seem to be recognising (port seems to be functional, usual flashing lights etc) but the pc offers up no response when plugged in.

So anyone any idea what relevant drivers I’d need to install / update or any clue as wahdafook you’d have to do to fix this?

Yeah done that previously, apparantly the modem isn't "speaking with the pc", those commands didn't solve it :(

then download drivers from you manufacture;s site :D you need to install drivers there in order to have network / internet ^^

Do you mean USB? There is none, fibre optic broadband modem uses Ethernet cable to the pc.

You believe I paid £35 for some fucker to come out & install it, only for him to plug it in, say "ah it's not workin, ring call centre, later" :l

yea I meant USB, ok so how does the PC see the router if its only conencted via Patch lead. How many other machiens you tried it on?

if it is

Just install the chipset drivers


You can find out what chipset by using http://majorgeeks.com/download181.html

Or just open your case and search for it
