format help [SOLVED]

hello thar, i've here an old AMD Turiun 64x2 1gb ram ati video notebook and it has half-installed windows extreme edition (without programs and shit) on it, so everytime i load it wants a disk with windows, so i bang it in, and then time goes like "aprox 37 minutes" installing, then screen starting to shake and installation is being finished and wants to writedown computer name and etc...

but i cant see shit so i wanna reinstall it fully, my question is:

How to make disk(with windows) load itself on computer start, i've checked bios it has in boot options:

Boot priority order:

1: IDE CD: Optiarc DVD RW AD-75401-(P
2: USB FDC:
3: USB CDROM:
4: IDE HDD: WDC WD1200BEVS-07LATO-(S1)
5: PCI SCSI:
6: USB HDD:
7: USB KEY:
8: PCI BEV:
Excluded from boot order:

- (none)

In what order I should put them so my disk will load in PC start?

thanks in advance

Quotenormal cdrom first

whats that in the list? Optiarc DVD RW or USB CDROM(?lol) or what
Parent
as i can see it the 1 device
Parent
well depends were you put your windows cd in, if you put it in the DVD RW thingy, that one first, if you put it in the USB one > that one first, but are you using an usb cdrom device? xD?
Parent
nope i dont, just a cd-rom, no USB shit involved even no mouse (touchpad lol)
Parent
then the first
Parent
i dont think that it matters, just make sure that you put the HDD after the discdrive with windows
Parent
1: is your cd-rom
4: your drive with windows on it (?)

but actually you just need to remove the cd outta the drive, then the system will boot from the hard drive disk (after the installation), so I still don't understand your problem
Parent
he wants to boot from his windows disk so he can format?
Parent
"and then time goes like "aprox 37 minutes" installing, then screen starting to shake and installation is being finished" - so he already booted from the disc tbh
Parent
no, i sayd it was half-installed, it booted(windows) then asked for disk in windows menu, i've insered disk it started to continue installation then screenshake then "cant-see-shit-reboot-start all over again from dos"
Parent
format
don't understand your problem
my PC doesn't read disks when i boot it
Parent
That looks set right to boot from cd. Pop in the cd, restart.. delete partition/format/install
you need to format your computer
