getting to sleep

It takes me ages to get to sleep, has anybody got any advice? how do you guys get to sleep every night?

train, eat healthy, go to bed in good times, dont paly game before bedtime and dont play 24/7.

what I do is I start closing my eyes slowly, relax my mind and find a comfortable position

btw, when I stay thinking on work i have, I realize when I'm going to sleep since I start to forget what I was thinking about 10 seconds earlier :o

if i cant sleep, i try to relax - i lay on my back, breathing calm, counting from 10->0 and with each number, i relax one part of my body.. you can imagine water showing you.. and when i reach 0 i enjoy that feeling of relaxation.. and than i fall asleep

Same as perfo to be honest. Even if I'm really tired I'll still roll around for hours in my bed thinking about the alarm in the morning. And the next day, when I had like 4/5 hours of sleep, I got the same problem again :EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I tried everything; like 5 different sleeping pills, but they won't work cause it's just placebo. Wanking 5 times before bedtime wont help either, it'll just make your weener raw(?)

I just go lay in bed, watch some tv, when I put my tv off im pretty much asleep after 3-5 min :DD just think of nothing but the pleasure of laying in that soft warm bed :DD

Do sports around dinner time (before or after). Go to bed half an hour earlier than you plan to actually go to sleep and use that half hour to read or listen quiet music.

It works, trust me :)

I must admit I usually just have a smoke and go to bed straight away but hey, I don't have trouble sleeping :D
put a pillow over your face and take some deep breaths into it.

-warm milk with honey
-wanking (seriously :X)
-a warm shower/footbath
-sports during the day

but sometimes emotional stress steals ur sleep. In that case take 5-10 mins before u go to bed, sit on the bed, let light turned on and think about possible solutions for ur problem. If u dont find any solution, make urself clear u cant do anything about it at the moment and u will try to find a solution tomorrow. Thats what helped me in the end.

Well, i'd be open to pretty much anything. Most of the comedy ones in the top 10 in the itunes store are shite, eg; comedy central's podcast, 2 minutes long, 30 sec ad's at start and end..

I sometimes play those "self hypnosis" things on my ipod. There are a few on thepiratebay and they really do work.

read until ur sleepy, really helps in my case.

usually takes 10 mins, I'm absolutely incapable of reading for a longer time in bed

If I shut down the computer and go straight to bed it's hard to get sleep instantly.
When I really need to get sleep ( important exam next day etc ) I use sleeping pills.
At some point I couldn't even sleep without some backround music playing because I usually forgot to turn off my stereos for night.

Go to bed when you are tired :D Shouldn't be hard to fall asleep if you are tired... :)
