its not ultimate fighting...ultimate fighting is a brand of a promotion label in the us...though the most famous one, since pride from japan died 2 years ago...

its MMA - mixed martial arts... all kinds of martial arts are allowed..but there are rules, that noone gets hurt too bad...like no knees on the ground..no kick to the groin etc...

its important that u have a mix of grappling, striking and wrestling to be successfull!!

and NO its not the goal to kill the opponent.. though some random idiots or the majority who doesnt know much about it think it is just plain stupid or only a cockfight...but for real its one of the most technical sports ever... u wont get anywhere with brawling!

i recommend u to watch ufc 94 event - fight: bj penn vs georges st. pierre
or affliction "day of reckoning" on 24th of january: fedor vs arlovski

those are skilled matchups!

its still called UFC thats the name of the fighting organisation. same as PRIDE is the name of the other organisation. MMA is the fighting styles for both. But its the ufc or pride that give those guys contracts too fight. So calling it ufc is correct.

first: kimbo sux! hes not a mixed martial artist..his a fucking slow paced brawler who has nothing but e-fame...

second: kimbo has never fought for the ufc..and most likely never will

and third: the ufc wants fedor but wont get him with the terms of the contract they offer...thats why the ufc tries everything to let the society know: fedor is not the best...

fedor won't join because of his managers. his managers are absolute morons.

fedor is the best in his weight category. no heavyweiht in the world comes even close. he would knock lesnar out in under 30 seconds.

i woudl love to see fedor take a step down in weight class. in light heavyweight you've got henderson, franklin, rampage, wanderlei, rashad, griffin, liddel.

all other weight classes are boring atm. no1 will beat gsp and no1 will beat anderson silva.

and i do agree that fedor isn't the best. anderson silva is by far the best pound for pound fighter in the world.

missing out on the commercial benefits of fighting in the biggest MMA cmpetition in the world is undeniably stupid.
