New BSG episode thoughts
SPOILERSInteresting episode, really quite disappointing that all these final episodes are just going to be a plod along. The producers did say this final series will be a beginning and middle and an end, but there is so much that just forgets. If you recall in the first or second series they found the clue from 13th tribe that was the cylon poison that would kill all cylons, well if the 13th tribe are cylons then err wtf? I did think it was a nice idea to make the 13th tribe cylons thats a nice idea, but they need to play with it, not all commit suicide. Ellen is not the 5th, thats a load of rubbish and it had better not be either because shes a rubbish character, neither is Starbuck, my money is still on Apollo, it will be son vs father, president vs admiral. Suddenly Baltar is their best friend again and back to being a scientist for the fleet? And also the fleet kind of doesnt exist, its become very philosophical rather than anything with a purpose. However one interesting idea is that Sol will kill himself and be reborn somewhere as Ellen was asking him to (perhaps with his eye back!)
Anyway, interesting but not what I wanted!

He then goes on about how it's so clever and meaningful having her as the fifth due to her relationship with Sol.
I too thought it was a shit story move when watching it but it seems it's for real :(
i was thinking "oh, so i guess he's gonna talk to the others and they will tell him his memories are just influenced or something" and not that Ellen was really a cylon...
but that interview... a dick move imo - he was right about getting the pressure out of the way though... I just hope they have something to replace the mystery of "omg who is the final cylon" because otherwise this half-season might be a little bland
