Externall HDD

I bought a new external HDD today. I want to format it to Fat32 for watching videos from it on the PS3.

Problem is, the hard drive doesnt show up. I get the windows beeps but nothing comes up on my computer or in disk managment!

Help!!!

Maxtor Basics 300GB is the one i bought btw!

its usb plug right? they gave any driver? maybe need for a first time use... but for example my bro's ext-hdd is plug and play and working fine for everyone. So my guess: urs iz broken. (i dont really trust maxtor btw)

Did you install any drivers that came with the HDD? Check the website for latest.

i bought external hd , iomega 500gb, i plugged but it didnt show up, it was broken. Changed it on shop for same new and it works perfectly, seems like u have got same situation
