sound driver

i got no sound and it sucks but i dno my soundcard and therefore i dont no which driver to download cuz installing by cd didnt work, so i need some smart heads to tell me how to find out what the card is called or gimme the driver which will make my music work..
im using a notebook medion md 97900 atm, but googling for its soundcard didnt make me find it:<

e: its some wam 2020, but theres still no sound..formatted and reinstalled xp yesterday...maybe there could be another error?

WIM/WAM seem to be different series of notebooks, dunno really, just read through it yourself.

usually with every medion product there is a cd coming along... On that should be the driver. If u don't have the cd, then check the harddrives - on my medion I had all drivers on d:

have the cd+installed automatically+installed manually the ones with the yellow questionmarks or sth in device manager

1:Device manager, select the sound device. Grab the hardware ID and turn to google.

Right click my computer, click manage and then look for device manager. Once you are there click on sound, video & game controllers. You should be looking for a Audio drivers. Right click it and select properties, you should see “This device is working properly”. I would suggest you find the serial number of your motherboard and let me know so I can take look for you.

it tells everythings fine..serial should be this wam 2020
