#81 Academy Awards Nominees

So the nominees for the next Academy Awards have been released. What do you think, which motion picture will be awarded with an oscar, which movie will receive the most oscars. What movie will be the biggest surprise?
Also, how would you distribute the awards, which film was your favourite this year, which one disappointed you the most?

In my opinion Slumdog Millionaire should be awarded with an oscar for the best motion picture of the year. I really hope that this movie will receive atleast 5 oscars.
In addition, Heath Leadger should receive the oscar for best supporting act eventhough he died already. His performance in Dark Knight was just superb.

Tropic Thunder was a big surprise for me. Before watching the movie I thought it was just another comedy film, something you'd watch and forget about soon afterwards. However, I really enjoyed it and it became one of my favourite movies this year.

Another movie with Robert Downey Jr. on the otherhand was a bit disappointing for me: Iron Man. It received a lot of critical acclaim but when I saw it it felt like a mediocre action flick.

WTF with that Slumdog Millionaire? I watched it and was like WTF, what's all the hype about? If that deserves oscars, than it was a bad year for movies in my opinion...

I partly want that movie to win because I'm a huge Danny Boyle fanboy :D.

I have not seen movies from oscars list apart from Dark Knight, Thunder and Slumdog, and from these 3, Dark Knight wins easily. Can't comment about others fot obvious reason.

Oh, and will watch Benjamin in cinema next week.

Best movie : the curious case of Benjamin Button
Best actor : Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler)
Best supporting act : Heath Ledger (Dark knight)
My opinions so far ;P and tbh I'm missing Gran Torino

Heath Ledger will win, mostly because he's dead, that's how Oscars work.
