need some cheap pc stuff

yo im upgrading my pc after 10 years. I got around 200 euros. I dont really mind having really cheap stuff, the only games i play are wow and et. I only need like motherboard, graphics card, cpu and ram.

Mobo asus m2n-mx +- 40-50 euro's
PROCESSOR AMD X2 6000+ 60 euro's
VidCard Ati HD3850 60euro's
Ram : 4GIG DDR667 cheap shit

cost around 200 euro's and you will be able to even play cod4 and some other new games

Well if he only has 200 euro to spend you can just buy DDR677 it really will be enough if his budget 200 euro will allow him to buy a bit more expensive 800 ram then buy that but the diffrence between 667 and 800 are very small in performance and in price so like I said he need to choose him self and this was just an example for around 200 euro's that imo would be great setup for that price

2gb of 800mhz memory costs like 30eur, and memory mhz also interacts with cpu (dno how much it affects amd, but intel cpus + high memory hz = better performance overall

like it's better to have 1000mhz 5-5-5-18 than 800mhz 4-4-4-12 on intel cpus. 667 and 800 sticks cost the same anyway, 800 might be even cheaper since no one actually buys 667 sticks anymore.

I thought it was best to run ram 1:1 with CPU?

If you're on a budget, why buy ddr800 (400fsb) when using for example a chip that only has 266 FSB?

I'm on DDR800 ram running at 667 (333FSB) so it can run in sync with my CPU and I can push the timings further. I should probably experiment with lowering the multiplier to 7 and pushing FSB to ~450 but I'm a very lazy person.

yeah it's best to run 1:1, but its not that neccesary imo, im pretty sure you get better performance just overclocking your memory to the max and keeping the ratio like 4:5 or kinda like that, not too far apart.. im no expert though
