CoD 2 Patch v1.3 error

I'm getting this error:
"A valid call of duty 2 installation could not be found at the path specified. Please specify the path where call of duty 2 is installed"

I downloaded cod2 from a torrent, and no installation was required so i need the registry keys i guess:

what am i missing?

or else i suppose you could find out what files the patch adds/upates, then someone could send them to me pls
