This is how Foobar2000 should look like!

Hey Folks! I just finished uploading my compact foobar2000 package. It's perfect for people who dont want to spend time configuring their music players or for people who just want to try out foobar2000.

The biggest advantages of foobar2000:

- It's Free
- It's Light
- It's Fast
- It's Flexible

You can modify it just the way you want it to be. This however, is also the downside of the player. the plain default look isnt very tempting and when people dont want to / dont know how to make it look better, they move on to alternative players.
Therefor I uploaded this package which includes most of the useful components preconfigured among basic, but nice looking layout.

it hides functionality, the point of foobar for many people is that it doesnt have fancy looks, its just light and it works and its very easy/fast to navigate

but ur skin looks nice good job, there are also some great ones on deviantArt, but they all require plugins which dont work for the latest foobar - is yours for 0.9.6?

They ruined foobar with version 0.9.5 and later.
I'll stick with 0.9.4.3 @ default skin.

I am still on 0.9.4.2 .. did they add some "superskin" in newer versions?

New versions have changed the playlist style that I liked very much. Now they use columns instead of a simple list. Also it's irritating that newer foobar is sorting the songs on it's own when imported by a-z, instead of keeping the folder structure.

Improving the UI to make certain functionality quicker/easier is one thing, but you're right this is mostly useless eyecandy.


ncmpcpp is the best music player frontend and I truly miss it when I have to use foobar on windows :(

nono it's installed as polish. Use The settings options - little rack at the bottom right corner of the program.

well i prefer foobar (foobear skin)
because winamp is simply overloaded. (my pc is to worse to handle it while i m playing for example...)
