Controlling a PC

Hi, i have a friend who needs my help but to help her, i need to get access to her pc to change some settings,

is their any way i can connect to her pc apart from using msn remote desktop?

The problem is she cant view webpages but has an internet connection enabled. She wont be able to download any program so it needs to be a windows based program.

got same problem few months ago. Just reconnect the router did it for me. Stupid webbrowers.
