...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead is an indie rock band
best known for their heavy yet anthemic music and their tendency to
destroy their equipment at the end of their performances (a rock
and roll tradition usually associated with The Who). According to
the band's website, the name "...And You Will Know Us by the Trail
of Dead" is taken from both an ancient Mayan ritual chant and an
Egyptian burial text. Band members have also claimed that they made
it up because it sounded cool and discovered the association after
the fact.

The bands self description: We aren't exactly a band, per-se,
although we have put out a couple records. Mainly we are a
self-help cult similar to Scientology, except instead of
coming from another planet our leaders come from within the
earth's crust and cover their reptile bodies with simulacrums
of a human exterior.

My Own View: Waited this one for such a long time. Finally
its here and you know what? There is no disappointment. Great album,
for a hardcore fan like me, but for a newcomer too.

The Appleseed Cast is an indie post-rock band based in Lawrence,
Kansas, currently comprised of singer/guitarist Christopher Crisci,
guitarist Aaron Pillar, bassist Marc Young and drummer Aaron Coker.
The band's predominately guitar-based music has gradually evolved
in a relatively short space of time (arguably due to a combination
of line-up changes and natural musical progression) from intense,
heavy emo indebted to such acts as Mineral and Sunny Day Real
Estate to a unique "post-rock" sound hinging on inventive,
intricate drumming, subtle guitar arpeggios and impassioned vocals.

My Own View: Its a great record, was a real pleasure to listen
to it. I highly recommend this one too.

Bat for Lashes is the work of British singer-songwriter,
multi-instrumentalist, and visual artist Natasha Khan.

Born in Pakistan in 1979, but brought up and educated mainly
in England, it was whilst working as a nursery school teacher,
following her university degree in film and music, that Fur and
Gold album opener "Horse and I" came to Khan in a dream. Inspired
by tales of Joan of Arc, she is woken by a black horse at the
window and sent on a fateful quest. This dream inspired the songs
that now comprise Fur and Gold.

My Own View: I dont really like Björk copies (dont really like
Björk too lol), but this one is a good copy if we can say that.
The voice is exactly Björk, the music is better.
