BAFTA Game Awards

Here are the nominees for the British Academy Video Games Awards:

I'm not a havy gamer (any more) but I guess there aren't so many surprises in the list. I totally agree with Fallout 3 and GTA 4 @ Best Game award but I would have included Mass Effect there also. I can also see that COD 4 has most nominations (eight) followed by GTA IV with seven.
What's your opinion about this lists? Are there any games that are forgotten? I could easily name two: World Of Goo and The Witcher Enhanced Edition.

fucking true mgs4 <3 <3 <3 <3 best game ever
really mass effect surprised me, one of the best games ive played
on the one hand i'd like to play another mgs after mgs4 but on the other hand no game can keep up with it and the story would be fucked up :<
rofld :D
thx sir
more pls ! :D
Yea, especially considering the other nominations. Just going on IGN scores, two of thoes games didn't even recieve a 9. While Prince of Persia, albeit a very fine game, shouldn't even be compared with MGS4.
You mean 20 minutes cutscenes and 10 minutes gameplay? Would hardly call that a game myself.
Deus Ex, I could easily mistaken it for being made in 2008 8).
i understand Left 4 Dead, Grand Theft Auto IV, Metal Gear Solid 4, Fable II, LittleBigPlanet , but whats Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, a 2007 game, doing there (for many people)?
I dont cry, because they're great and all, but I played MGS4 for an hour and roughly 20 minutes was actual gameplay, including trying fail bits again. Doesn't sound like a real game to me, more like a movie with so much twists in its plot that you could easily replace it with a random anime plot as well.
