ET+vent @ Linux

hi, my friend got a problem, he cant speak @ vent when he is playnig ET, he is using linux and he tried aoss or smth, still nothing.. any ideas?

Don't listen to these OSS fags. It'll give you more trouble than gain in the long run. Use et-sdl-sound and the ALSA plugin for wine and you'll be fine. Alsa has software mixing, but the alsa OSS emulation bypasses it. ET only has a OSS interface(which is obsolete), which fucks things up. Now, et-sdl-sound is a hack to make ET use the proper ALSA interface, and thus making the software mixing work.
