Just get one with better cooling, the default fans indeed don't help much.

I'm using Club3D Radeon HD 4850 OC, with a better fan, and it peaks at 60c

hd4870x2 is better, but has worse driver suports, alltho sli aint the best :s

GT300b series will be a blast, an massive upgrade to an GDDR5 memory, but i cant predict how long you will have to wait
hd4870x2 will probably beat those cards i guess, at least most Oo

if you look closely you'll see that the 4870 series already includes this "massive upgrade" of GDDR 5 memory.

yes thats ati :p but ati and nvidia are different, nvidia is using the GDDR3, while ati uses the GDDR5 and both have similar performance, nvidia upgrading to GDDR5 will boost their performance :o

ATIs 4890 is supposed to arrive in April, that's at least what some sources say. They also say that it will be 20% faster than the 4870.

Dunno about the 5000 series, but imo they'll be released in months.

yeah, ATI cards let enemies look bigger, to have an advantage in gaming. that's why I bought mine.
