Just installed ubuntu and so far I really like it!
I'm a completley nub at this, haven't used any linux before, but I've gotten some windows applications to run like ventrilo.
I have 1 really big issue the sound, I cannot hear sound when I open ET or ventrilio. I can hear music via youtube on my speakers (not headset) but the volume is really low even if I put it to max.
I've goggled my ass off and the commands that is posted haven't seem to work for me, maybe I've gotta install some plug ins or?
/GIEF HELP

I mean, a stable windows is decent and when you are used to use windows its boring to change.
ofc Linux is nice but i wouldnt change my windows for it.
A dual boot is ok if you really want to try it.
I see what you did there ;]
im just glad evenbalance don't have root access over my system anymore, punkbuster is too invasive these days
Also; treat yourself to this book
