personaly i dont have the best game i ever played.;..

it all depends on gender:
FPS - nothing can beat system shock and deus ex

rpg - fallout fallout and one more time fallout... even FF isnt as good as fallout

arcade - croc - does anyone rememer this game? it was one of the first i had the
pleasure of playing... croc is awesome!

racing - im not big fan of car games, but lego racers is the best!

another games worth mentioning are final fantasy, Operation flashpoint, RTCW, baldurs gate, fable, UT, max payne and many more i cant remember now coz im drunk a bit
