maxthon browser

anyone tried the browser "maxthon" yet?

firefox3 is fucking slow since the last update(s).. some pages dont even load.. or with 100missed images.. while IE loads them in 1 sec. Think i will change browser but dont know which one..
Safari,opera? Or maybe maxthon? Got vista 64 bit

too much spy.. they record every step u do.. and can everytime find out when u watched which site and stuff.. there are tool to stop that and also a browser which is the same as chrome but without spyware.. but i´m not sure if its that faster?.. tests told me opera

It's called srware iron ( my old journal about it: http://www.crossfire.nu/?x=journal&mode=item&id=75859 )

It's pretty fast, in my feeling better than opera, but I'm not really sure about that ;) The nice thing is that each tab is a seperate process, and that you can simply move tab beetwen windows or even make a new window by dragging it out. But both opera and chrome/iron are good, I used to have both.

hmm but how about addond and plug ins? divx,flash,adobe reader,shockwave,wmv,realplayer,quicktime,addons to download streams liek youtube,megavideo,.. and also firefox got these nice features such as loading files even before you clicked on the lnik to dl them.. and starts the dl rate with 1200kb/s and after some secs you already dled 5mb :P

and security? I just found a nice programm (keepass open source written in autoit i think) which is rly nice.. but only support IE and soon firefox (testing the beta atm).
Or maybe you got any other pw manager? i dont trust the browser build in managers tbh..

@edit: also adblock is fucking important ! :P

Well, I must say I am using firefox when I want to browse for a longer time, as I need some of the plugins avaible only in FF (like tabmixplus or some tools for testing websites). The basic ones which you listed are most probably all working, but I haven't used all of them so I can't say for sure. As for the keepass... tbh I am using the browser build in, but obviously anybody who got access to your computer will be able to get this passwords out, but I never really cared about that, so I can't help.

@edit: iron got some sort of adblocker, simple one, but working quite okay with some tweaking. Or you can use some proxies like privoxy which filters ads.

hmm dont think that you will get acces that easy.. firefox is rly simple to steal passwords.. jsut read out 2 fiels or just upload them somewhere and copy them into your firefox folder.. and u have all the saved password in your firefox.. but a pw manager (liek keepass) saves the password in a own file (which won´t be scanned by msot common stealers) and this file is crypted with a pw.. aslong as you dont know this pw you can´t see the passwords.

hmm i will check plugins for iron then.. tbh i don want 2 browsers.. thats why i´m not sure if i should deinstall FF and switch to iron.. :P

Having two browsers is nothing bad :D I have opera,iron,ff (and ie here since it's not linux) and use one of these based on want I want to do :D

But well, if you want something secure, you should just search for some password manager and check what browser is supported :P

well.. kepass support IE.. and IE is for me also rly fast.. but i´m not sure how exploitable IE is..

also as i read that operai s rly fast.. i will check the web for addons/plugins for opera now.. thanks alot that looks rly great.. havent checked roboform that much yet.. but i think it can also saved non opera passwords?

I googled a bit and realized I recalled wrong, it doesn't support opera. However, I read somewhere that mentioned by you keepas does support it, you should take a look at it ;)

well keepass does.. but the programm which will automitcally start the borwser + login is called keeform.. which is only done for IE.. and a beta for firefox is out too

well iron.. i rly like it somhow.. but i still read from alot of bugs and not many addons/plugins.. and in the support on their rly inactive homepage isn´t that good too
