I love music. I like many genres, including blues, jazz, metal, classical, rock, even an occational pop and maybe even some rap song.
There's one type of music I can't stand though, and that's the music we metalheads generalize under "crap", aka trance/techno/whatever, I don't have a clue how to seperate one from the other.
But then I thought, why can't I stand it? And I have no particular reason, so now I decided to give it a fair chance. Why? It's win-win. I might lose some "principle points" among the diehard metalheads, but other than that there's only two options:
1. I like it, and suddenly I have a lot more cool music to listen to.
2. I hate it, and can use the fact that I've given it a fair chance in every metalvstranceflamewar after this.
So now, what I want you to do;
By really good I mean something that someone who's been playing an instrument since he was 7 finds interesting. My favourite genre is progressive metal, which for you non-metal people is known for diversity and dynamics.
So don't give me some 3-note self-repeating crap, give me something decent.
Thanks!
