Why was it removed in the first place? Just an extra difficulty / skill to master in ET.

Because people who weren't good at 1on1 situations used it for their advantage, and that meant that it wasn't always the best player who won those situations ;)

proning was part of the 1on1 situation, just as is crouching and jumping..if you cant kill someone doing one of these, are you really the "best player"?

all part of tactics aint it, just because you may have a better aim than the other person does not automatically make you the best player

idd it's about so much more, but I myself would like it to stay this way since the hitboxes are a bit weird/unpredictable when proning and now it is about positioning and timing and before it was about reflexes and prediction(one of the 5 luck factors).

if u are a skilled aimer, u should be able to be a fast aimer, so u can fast shot the proning enemy, but people use uber low m_pitch are just whiners.

there was a few rly skilled proners, one of them was reptile. People just whined cuz he was better then the other players :>

headhitbox was on a players back or sunk into the body if i remember correctly, so proning in a 1v1 was an unfair advantage and abuse of a bug and therefore pronedelay was introduced as a countermeasure

I think i know why, cuz we mortal pwned everyclan and we were prone masters. So people whined and got angry cuz they were to noob to learn how to be a good proner.
