i received a quake live beta invite on the 30th of january and didnt notice it until now!

just tried it today and i must say its pretty cool :p

too bad that the open beta already starts tomorrow xP so im pretty late.

the existence of q5 will depend on ql's succes so maybe you should play it sometimes :)

Q4 wasn't that bad after some patches and with mods, same for q3 but u probably are too young to remember

well. I dont think it will surpass Q3 in terms of gameplay but all hopes are allowed since it's id and not raven (fucking newbs) or sd who are doing it. I hope it will be totally different aswell for obvious reasons.
It could give a breath of fresh air to the fast fps world :/

They only listened to the well-known Q3 players. Like you, I'd give the feedback in that shit irc chan they had, and everybody except the mad-skill0rz would get ignored.

No but they (cpma devs) will continue developing cpm on q3 engine and also introduce a new project. I see no reason why id should do cpm gameplay because I'm pretty sure it won't match that of arQon's and arQon won't join id because it'd probably tie his hands conserning the development

tbh q4 was a bit of a failure and you can't realy go further away from it without it turning into a non-quake game.
*unless you would call ET:QW being a mix of ET and quake. x-D

yeah but this is not "pretty good", this is extraordinary, mainly because thin walls and nets/grinds have "filthy glass" textures. x-]
