They don´t give you any noticeable increase in actual performance when it comes to real time calculations e.g. gaming. Keeping the registry and temporary folders clean to prevent errors and save space is not a bad thing, but the rest is just marketing bullshit...

CCleaner nothing else
had adaware but with noscipt in FF i havent had any spyware anymore
