headsets, again

so i'm wondering if decent headsets (sennheiser etc) are worth the amount of cash more they charge than an average headset

usually i go for about the £30 mark headset from argos and generally they do fine

Creative HS-600

recently been looking at headsets and i'll probably go for http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/-/676/883/-/5438670/Sennheiser-PC-350-Stereo-Gaming-Headset/Product.html?searchtype=genre (used to be 80 quid before they put the price back up)

is it worth the now £70 extra more than an average headset? would also like to know from anyone who has one of these headsets if they're any good

current headset still works fine so im not really looking for cheap average headsets, sticking with this one is fine if more expensive ones arent worth it

get some decent headphones + cheap mic
Well worth it. Perhaps a little overpriced but if you're willing to spend, then it'll make some difference :).

Not much else to say on the matter. Coming from someone who's half deaf!

But obviously check reviews on them, and contact them via email if they'll give you a personal discount.
I got like a 15 euro headset and I can hear pretty much everything so would wonder if its worth to pay that much
creative fatality i love it rly! and it wasnt that expensive.
GOOGLE !
Ollz has a 350 and swears by it.
However I have gone from a £70 Medusa Speedlink Home Edition to a £30 Steelseries 4H and will never spend more on a headset again.
The SS is fantastic for the money :)
PLANTRONICS
better buy HD555 , they are like 30% cheaper (not sure @ price) play ingame quite the same, while music quality is far higher
you`ll just need a separate mic, but its not a prob
most people suggest that, but im too lazy to get a seperate mic (would rather have a decent quality one too rather than some 10 euro table mic)

The stand-alone mics are usually better quality than the integrated ones you get on headsets to be honest.

what jn0 said, + its more comfortable because u simply put it on the desk, and wont accidentally put ur mic into food while eating
the priceu posted is bs, normal standalone mics are 4-5 euros max

im still kinda surprised tho that it was so easy for the admins to make clear that random pic = hide x]
it depends...

if you're person similar to me - buy cheap headset so you wont regret after breaking it :P

otherwise - buy good set, it makes the difference even if you're deaf as tree
yeah i used to stand on my headsets or rip the wires out quite a bit so i just go for the cheaper ones, but this ones lasted me ages so ive been thinking of upgrading :-D

my current hs is also strangly endure to falling, and other dameges... but fuck it, i know i will kill it soon :D

Do not buy "gamers" headset when you have a lot of money. It is wasting money
My plantronics headset broke after 3 years, i have to decide between Sony MDR-V900DJ or SENNHEISER HD 280PRO(both not headsets but i have a good mic already), which one is better? >_>
