I was looking through some tutorials to find some nvidia graphic tweaks(performance) and found hype's old one, http://www.crossfire.nu/?x=tutorial&mode=item&id=25. sadly it's outdated but some of the stuff in there still applies. does anyone have an updated tutorial or website or smth?
Theres a few et cmds like cg_wolfparticles 0 but every config has those cmds.
So basicly: you cant improve ur fps by much. Its all cpu based, vid card hardly matters (and fuck all the noobs who just bought a gt9800 and claiming it gives them better fps)
maybe check your windows if you dont got any unwanted shit running in the background/
CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) Processor LE-1620, ~2.4GHz
Mouse: Logitech G5
Mousepad: not specified
Sound: -
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430
Memory: 894MB RAM
O/S: Windows Vista™ Home Basic (6.0, Build 6001)
there's your problem. Is that a laptop?
This integrated onboard Geforce 6150SE is utter crap and it will need your System RAM to work so there´s even more less RAM available of your 894 MB and it´s...just crap believe me :). ET is more CPU dependent that´s true but with this gfx solution you just can´t reach decent fps even with a hardcore CPU.
Get a dedicated graphic card, even low budget cards around 70-80 € will give you 10 times the fps this onboard crap could reach.
And for Vista 2gb RAM are recommended officially, better 4 gb. Even for XP this 894 MB are at the lower limit but it can run ok with it.
